It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of one of our Life Members , Brenda Wilson. She was 89 years young and had been suffering with cancer for some years.
Brenda joined the club in 2002 with her Kelpie , Bess. Every Sunday she drove to the club an hour drive from her home in Stroud . Brenda was a real asset to the club, she worked on the Committee, our trials, and was an Instructor for many years. She was awarded Life Member in 2012. Although suffering with cancer Brenda still made a trip to the club just last year to bring donations for the Christmas raffle and to check in on everyone.
Before Brenda came to Australia she was an Air Traffic Controller in England.
Brenda was very community minded and apart from the Dog Club, she was on many Committees including Driver Reviver, and the Rural Fire Brigade. She was not just on the committees but was very active in activities run by the organisations she was a member of such as manning the Driver Reviver Vans and well into her 80s she would be up the mountains or where ever else needed actually fighting the fires. Brenda had much love for everyone.
Brenda loved her garden, she is now working in God’s Garden. Rest In Peace, Beautiful Lady, I love you.

On behalf of the Maitland Dog Obedience Club Committee stay safe and hopefully we will see you 24th October.
Yet again, it is with regret that Maitland Dog Obedience Club committee made the tough decision today to CANCEL our upcoming Triple RATG Trial scheduled for 18-19 September, 2021. With the fluctuating number of active cases of Covid in the community and the uncertainty of lockdown restrictions, it is exceptionally difficult to ensure a safe event.
Foremost on our minds is the health and safety of our members, the dog trialling community and the wider community. We have made the decision to cancel, to provide a little bit of certainty in these uncertain times.
All entry fees will be refunded by mail or the OzEntries portal. Please be patient whilst these refunds are processed, we will endeavour to complete this process as quickly as practicable. We hope to see you all in 2022.
Take care everyone!
